Conflict and change: Social work in Moldova

Join us for a joint webinar with Social Work Scotland and Unison Scotland as we hear from Vivien Thomson, BASW and SWS member about her recent trip to Chisinau in Moldova.

Vivien and a colleague were invited to visit Moldova as part of the countries Change the Way We Care programme. This aims to build community capacity and transform the Moldovan childcare system to align with UNCRC by building community capacity and reducing reliance on institutional care.  Vivien will discuss the background to the links between Scotland and Moldova, the complex national context of Moldova which sits between Ukraine and Romania, and how Scotland’s social work experiences are helping the developing childcare system in the country.
