I qualified as a social worker in 2000, and completed my AMHP (ASW) training in 2005, I then completed my Best Interest Assessor Training in 2009.
I have been employed within Community Mental Health Teams since qualifying in 2000, and my current post of 5 years standing is one of foresnic social worker managing a caseload of restricted patients. I also participate in the AMHP and BIA rota, having carried out multiple assessments under each area of law.
I have practised as an independent BIA, and am also employed by an out of hours emergency services, carrying out AMHP work and adult safeguarding tasks.
