Professional Officer - BASW Cymru
BASW Cymru are recruiting for a full time permanent Professional Officer, are you an experienced social worker who has an understanding of the current challenges faced by social workers in Cymru and the people we support. Salary for this role (dependent on experience and knowledge) is £42,089- £60,328 per annum + pension + benefits. This opportunity is for hybrid working – Mainly from home, some attendance in HQ in Birmingham and other travel across Wales. The application deadline is 10am Friday 24th January 2025.

Consultant Social Worker (Race) CSW(R)
Funded by the Welsh Government and its National Office for Care and Support - The British Association of Social Workers Cymru (BASW Cymru) is looking for an experienced social work practitioner who will act as a driver and catalyst for change for this newly created post of Consultant Social Worker (Race). Full time, fixed term 15 months. Secondment opportunity considered. Salary Scale F scale points o to iv (o £51,910 to iv £67,624). Hybrid – working from home with occasional travel in Wales and the UK. Application deadline 10am Thursday 30th January 2025

In order to be eligible for consideration, you MUST be a current BASW member and your membership must run throughout your term of office on the committee.
Applications are now invited for membership of BASW's International Committee
Applications are particularly welcome from members who have an interest in international social work, or who have experience of working in other countries, or knowledge of supporting the delivery on international social work services, research or education. Successful candidates will normally serve for a two-year period which can be extended for a further two-year period.
Through participation in this work, the role additionally provides an opportunity to strengthen your CV.
There are usually 4 meetings per year. These meetings are “hybrid” so members may join either online or in person. When joining in-person, reasonable travelling expenses will be met. There is also an expectation that committee members progress work between formal meetings when required.
