BASW & SWU Celebrate Black History Month 2024

BASW and SWU are proud to support Black History Month, an annual commemoration and celebration of the history, achievements and contributions of black people across the UK.
This year’s theme is ‘Reclaiming Narratives’, shining a light on and celebrating the untold success stories of Black history and culture, and correcting historical inaccuracies.
BASW and SWU have a range of resources dedicated to promoting Black excellence and anti-racism in social work and society more broadly, including blogs, podcasts and events, some of which have been developed by our members and other prominent individuals within the UK social work community.
