BASW UK and SWU raise serious concerns over Part 3 of Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill, which gives police forces more power to place restrictions on protests and public assembly.

The draft guidance further discriminates against Gypsy and Traveller communities, with it telling police to avoid ‘gold-plating’ the human rights of those using unauthorised encampments.
