BASW and RiPfA seek social workers to help develop Capabilities Statement and Professional Development Pathway

Two social workers working with people who have learning disabilities are required to join the Stakeholder Reference Group

BASW and RiPfA are seeking two social workers working with people who have learning disabilities to join the Stakeholder Reference Group to oversee this project. The purpose of the group is to represent significant viewpoints as BASW and RiPfA develop the competency statements and continuing professional development.

The group will provide input to the drafts and final versions of the statement and pathway. There will be four meetings of the stakeholder reference group across the six month project. It is hoped that members will consult with their own networks to inform the input that they give to the project.

The Stakeholder Reference Group will work alongside BASW and RiPfA to develop the Capabilities Statement and Pathway in conjunction with wider consultation across service user groups and the social work sector. The project is due for completion in March 2019.
