Vacancy: Honorary Secretary for IFSW Europe

Do you have the skills and time to provide reliable administrative + secretariat/rapporteur support to IFSW Europe for half a day (c. 3.5 hours) per week? The International Federation of Social Workers (IFSW) Europe is seeking a new Honorary Secretary to support the Europe President, Dr Ruth Allen, and the European Executive. The initial appointment will be for two years with the possibility of extension for another two years.
The position is open to candidates with a social work qualification.
This is an exciting opportunity to become involved in IFSW Europe activities, support the development of policies and coordination of activities, and develop rapporteur skills in international context. The role can be carried out from anywhere in Europe as most meetings are online. A professional working level of English is required. Other language skills may be beneficial but are not necessary. You will learn about working effectively across languages, cultures and nations.
This is an Honorary position, not salaried employment. The Honorary Secretary will receive an Honorarium of at least 3000 euros per annum (excluding all expenses). This sum is under review. The appointee will be responsible for any tax within their country of tax residence.
You will work closely with a supportive and active regional President and executive committee. You will receive a comprehensive induction and you will have access to the training, technology and equipment you need to fulfil the role.
