Campaigning & Influencing
SASW has ongoing engagement with MSPs from across the political parties. We work to engage with policymakers to promote social work and represent the views of our members in the corridors of power.
This includes, at times, giving evidence to MSPs on legislation that may impact the social work profession in Scotland. Most recently, SASW gave evidence on the National Care Service Bill at which time we highlighted the urgent need to improve working conditions for social workers and invest in the profession.
Supporting Scottish social work
Resource Development & Knowledge Exchange
SASW works independently and with partner organisations to develop resources for social workers in Scotland as well as for the broader social work community. We aim to fill information gaps identified through our member networks to bring highly useful and practical information to social workers.
