Applying to the International Development Fund (IDF)
The maximum amount for individual applications is £1,000
The IDF was set up with a view to assist social workers and others to develop their knowledge and skills on international issues and facilitate the international exchange of skills, knowledge, and expertise.
Individual applicants may want to consider field trips, study visits, conferences, and other activities.
Partnerships may apply for grants of up to a maximum of £10,000.
The partnership must be initiated by a BASW member. It must continue to involve at least one BASW member through its course. There must be at least one agency from a non-UK nation state. The partnership must include at least one practitioner, may include an academic and should ideally include people with lived experience of services.
The IDF can provide opportunities to network with international professionals and groups could examine research and models of practice outside of the UK.
