BASW England writes open letter on Adult Social Care
We urge Tory party leadership candidates to fulfil promises over delayed green paper
BASW England’s Adults Policy, Practice and Education Group has written an open letter to the Secretary of State and to all leadership contenders for the Conservative Party. The letter urges the recipients to set out their views on social care and specifically to clarify when they will publish the Green Paper on Adult Social Care.
This action follows a delay of over two years for the Green Paper, which was first promised by the Government in 2017.
Our members’ views echo those of the general public, in that we find the lack of commitment shown by the Government over solving the critically worsening condition of adult social care to be unacceptable.
