Nomination deadline extended for SASW Social Work Awards

Nominations have been extended for the SASW social work awards! 

The theme for this year's World Social Work Day is, "Promoting the Importance of Human Relationships". To celebrate this, we are looking for examples of excellent relationship based practice. 

Do you know a social worker or social work team who are understanding, compassionate, kind, appropriately challenging, prepared to stand up for people, inspirational, or non-judgemental? What makes them stand out? How do they make those essential connections, what are the relationships that support, protect and enable people to make changes? Why do you think they are worthy of being identified as the winners of this year's SASW Awards? 

We are asking for nominations on:

1) Social Worker

2) Student Social Worker

3) Social Work Team

4) Practice Teacher

5) Lecturer

Of the year 2018. 

The shortlisted finalists are invited to attend an early evening event on 19 March 2019, World Social Work Day, at the Ghillie Dhu in Edinburgh. 

You can provide your evidence in any way you want - a written statement, short film or voice recording on your phone, a cartoon or pictures with headlines. The deadline for nominations is 17 February 2019. Please send them to scotland@basw.co.uk.
