Share your views to help develop good social work practice with older adults and those who have learning disabilities
BASW England and Research in Practice for Adults (RiPfA) are working on two projects to develop professional capabilities and continuous professional development (CPD) for social work with older people and adults with learning disabilities.
The first project will create a new capabilities statement and CPD pathway for social work with adults who have learning disabilities. The second project will evaluate the use of this framework and aims to embed this further within social work CPD and practice.
How to take part
As part of each project, we are gathering views from social workers in England to understand what would support them to use the capabilities statements and CPD pathway. We are also gathering your input into the statement for social work with adults who have a learning disability.
We would also like to speak to people via telephone interview. If you would like to take part please complete the survey and indicate that you would be happy to take part in a phone conversation, or contact:
– LDsocialwork@basw.co.uk (social work with adults with learning disabilities)
– Lisa.Smith@ripfa.org.uk (social work with older people)
