Survey launched to improve practice with older people and adults who have learning disabilities.
BASW England and Research in Practice for Adults (RiPfA) have launched two new projects that will develop professional capabilities and continuous professional development (CPD) for social workers working with older people and adults who have learning disabilities.
To do this we need your views to help shape the content of these projects and ensure they are delivered the best possible way.
The projects
The first project will create a new capabilities statement and CPD pathway for social work with adults who have learning disabilities. The second project will evaluate the use of the existing framework for social work with older people and aim to embed this further within social work CPD and practice.
Why are these projects important?
It’s time to evaluate the current Capabilities Statement and Continuous Professional Development Pathway and consider how well it has been embedded within social work practice. This process will ensure the new frameworks are fit for purpose.
