Tell us what is happening in children’s services
BASW is working with The Children’s Society and a number of organisations across the children’s sector to capture intelligence from frontline professionals working in children’s services around the issues that are affecting their work during the pandemic.
We will be working with partners to collate and analyse responses via a short online form, and feed key issues and themes directly back to local and national decision makers, in order to help inform systemic responses to the crisis and promote changes to policy and practice.
For this activity to have an impact, it is really important that we get a broad range of input from frontline staff working with children and young people during this crisis, especially from social workers.
We are encouraging all of our members to use the form to feed in any issues you have seen so far in your work, and to return to it to highlight new issues as they arise. Any information shared will be strictly anonymous.
In addition to raising issues directly with Government, we will work with our partners to produce regular briefings of the key findings and learnings, and ensure these are fed back to participants where contact details are provided.
