A Vision for Social Work
Over the last few months both our profession and our community have been challenged by Covid.
As we look to the future, many of us feel that we don’t want to return to the ‘old normal’. We want a ‘new normal’, a new normal that is better for social work, social workers and people with experience of social work services.
Over the last couple of months we have been working on a project that we are currently calling ‘A Vision for Social Work’. On the afternoon of 22 September, starting at 2.30 and ending at 5.00, through a virtual conference, we will be holding a consultation on our work so far. We are aiming for a diversity of voices, but a diversity that allows us to forge a consensus for the way ahead.
If you would like to join us, please book using the online booking system.
At this stage this is an ongoing conversation so if you can’t join us don’t worry – there will be opportunity for input later.
You will be sent a copy of our work-in-progress and the link to join the conference, a few days before the event itself.
I do hope you can join us for what promises to be an important milestone.
With every good wish
