My field of specialisation is that of attachment theory and research with my doctoral topic being, “The Influence of an Attachment-Based Parenting Programme on the Attachment Behaviour of Adult Mothers and their Infant Children.” I completed a fellowship at the University of Witwatersrand where my research focus was on the mentalisation of motherhood across the different represented cultures in South Africa.
I have extensive clinical experience in my private practice with individuals, couples, family, as well as in child and group therapy and in doing parenting assessments. In addition, I practice attachment therapy and facilitate professional attachment-based programmes.
