APPG for Social Work: Call for Evidence
The All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Social Work co-chaired by Barbara Keeley MP and David Simmonds MP has launched an inquiry into the proposals to integrate social care with the NHS and are inviting interested groups and individuals to submit evidence.
Through the proposed Health and Care Bill, the Government are seeking to further integrate health and care by making integrated care systems statutory. Ahead of this Bill, the inquiry seeks to specifically the impact of these proposals on social work.
This inquiry will consider:
- The impact of the proposals on social work service users
- The impact of the proposals on social work
- Examples/best practice of integration
- Role of CQC inspections
- Challenges and obstacles
There will be three oral evidence sessions taking place in July and September 2021.
The evidence collected through this inquiry will contribute towards the formation of a report by the APPG which will be shared with the Department for Health and Social Care.
