BASW England webinar on renewals now available for members

BASW England recently held a webinar on the final HCPC renewals before Social Work England takes over as regulatory body for all social workers.

It also takes an in-depth look at social workers who have been selected for audit by the HCPC.

Chaired by Liz Njenga (BASW England committee member) with contributions from BASW member Robert Templeton and BASW ambassador Clenton Farquharson, the informative webinar covered renewals, evidence gathering, audits and the handover to SWE.

“In the summary of the event, there was broad agreement that BASW membership comes with a range of benefits to help social workers advance in their journeys as social workers,” says BASW England PO Gavin Moorghen, who organised the event.

“Specific reference was given to training, conferences and the mentor scheme, as well as access to learning tools and opportunities to become involved in BASW branches and policy groups that contribute to CPD.”
