BASW statement following sudden death of Dave Hill

It was sadness that BASW learns of the untimely death of Dave Hill CBE, Executive Director of Children, Lifelong Learning and Culture at Surrey County Council.

BASW would like to send our condolences to Dave’s family, friends and colleagues.

BASW England national director, Maris Stratulis, paid tribute to Dave: “Dave Hill made a significant contribution to children and families services and was an inspirational leader and passionate about meeting the needs of children. He will be sorely missed by the profession, our thoughts are with his family, friends and colleagues at this time.”
