BASW UK policy on use of Twitter/X

BASW is extremely concerned about how X (formerly known as Twitter) is being used to spread disinformation, enable hate speech and incitement to violence. 

This is causing harm, distress, fear, and wider unrest to individuals and communities in the UK and across the world.

BASW does not in any way support the ethos of X as a company and does not pay any subscription.  We are limiting usage as BASW UK and will keep this under review. We will remain present to provide trusted content.  

We don't believe any member should feel they need to be on X for our updates and actively urge members and followers to join us on our other primary platforms:
