BASW Cymru is incredibly proud to welcome the newest cohort of qualified social workers to the ranks of the profession in Wales.
We recognise that this has been an extraordinarily tough year for you with the impact of Covid-19 causing placements to be cancelled, lectures to be rescheduled, new ways of working with technology and face-to-face, in person support no longer possible.
However, the fact that you have come through all of this and survived is a testament to your resilience and means that as the newest members of this wonderful profession, you are guaranteed to make the positive difference that all your hopes and dreams have been about.
You are entering the profession at a time of unprecedented change and uncertainty with many challenges ahead but the dedication and commitment you have shown, the sacrifices you have made and the long hours you have endured have not gone unnoticed and as the independent, professional membership organisation for social work in Wales, BASW Cymru salutes you and looks forward to supporting you in the next exciting stage of your career.
