Extended deadline: The BASW Annual Survey of Social Workers and Social Work 2022

Social workers across the UK are invited to complete BASW's annual survey.

It aims to capture key trends within our profession that shapes BASW's work on your behalf.

  • Closing date is Monday 10 January 2023, and our findings will be published in March 2023.

This year, we delve deeper into subjects that are critical to the profession.

We want to gain insight into how the cost-of-living is impacting the workforce and people with whom we work. We also want to hear about opportunities and barriers to progressing your practice, as well as your day-to-day experiences with colleagues and people using social work services. 

Last year, we heard from over 2000 social work professionals. Your voice influenced how we delivered services and represented social workers in public and political life. 

This included findings on caseloads and working conditions being highlighted on Channel 4 News and mentioned in Westminster by MPs during a debate on the impact of the pandemic on social work, which BASW helped to secure.
