Frontline, the fast-track graduate training scheme for social workers, has responded to BASW's news release: You cannot buy experience: BASW concerns over new Frontline management scheme:

Mark Potter, External Relations Director at Frontline, said: "This is an unfortunate misunderstanding from BASW. The Firstline prototype will be trialled in local authorities across Greater London and Greater Manchester during the development phase. The prototype will develop experienced first-line managers who are already in post, many of whom will be BASW members. The programme is not designed to promote people into management roles."
