LGBTQ+ History Month 2023

LGBTQ+ History Month is a month-long annual celebration of lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans, and non-binary history and culture.

It is also an opportunity to reflect on progress towards equality over time and consider what more can still be done in the UK and around the world.

2023 also marks twenty years since Section 28, the law that banned promotion of homosexuality in the UK, was repealed.

This year's theme is "Behind the Lens", which recognises LGBTQ+ peoples’ contribution to film, photography, TV, music and fashion.
