The team in BASW Cymru want to take this opportunity to wish you a safe and restful festive period, one we hope you are able to spend with family and loved ones. Many of you will be on duty at this time, as essential workers supporting those in need – what would society do without your service, care, compassion, and kindness?

In the Cymru team, we have had the privilege of supporting you throughout this most difficult of times, you have shared your stories of struggle, of mutual support, of hope and at times we have shared tears. Wales is a small nation, and we rely on one another as a social work family.

You are ordinary people experiencing this pandemic with your loved ones in real time, whilst doing an extraordinary job for the betterment of society, and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

We will be standing alongside you in 2022 to ensure that you have the right support, the best working conditions and that you have a strong a voice with decision makers in the Senedd.
