SASW raises questions about the Assisted Dying for Terminally Ill Adults (Scotland) Bill
SASW has written to the Scottish Parliament to outline views and concerns with the proposed legislation
The Scottish Parliament is considering legislation to legalise assisted dying for terminally ill adults in some circumstances. The Assisted Dying for Terminally Ill Adults (Scotland) Bill, is a Members Bill introduced by Liam Macarthur MSP and is currently being considered by the Health, Social Care and Sport Committee at the Scottish Parliament.
This is a separate, although in many ways similar, Bill to the one recently progressed at the UK Parliament in Westminster.
SASW has written to outline concerns and thoughts which we urge the Committee to consider ahead of its initial report on the Bill later in the year, likely Spring.
