Tribute to Jill Saward

BASW England would like to pay tribute to campaigner Jill Saward, who has died aged 51. BASW England Manager Maris Stratulis, said: “Jill was a truly inspirational, courageous woman and an avid campaigner against all forms of sexual violence. Jill bravely waived her anonymity after being raped; the first person to do so in the UK.

“She worked tirelessly to support others and to campaign on behalf of all victims of sexual violence. BASW commends Jill's bravery, her determination and her legacy. Our thoughts are with her family, her friends and others who have suffered the horrors of sexual violence.”
