BASW England Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Branch Annual Members Meeting, Short Talk & Annual Festive Fuddle

We will start with the Annual Members Meeting providing an overview of the year and invite members to vote for committee members. We are always looking for new members, so please consider if this is something you could support.

Then Claire O’Connor will be giving a short talk on “Accessible Literacy for Service Users.” Claire has over 18 years of experience in health and social care. She currently works for Healthwatch Derbyshire as the ‘Enter and View Officer’. Healthwatch adopts a ‘Health Literacy’ approach in their work, which improves access to health and social care services. In her talk, Claire will introduce the concept of ‘Health Literacy’ and provide tools that you can use in your role to enhance service accessibility.

This will be followed by Paul Wiggins and festive poems. Paul is a valued member of BASW and a person with lived experience. We will then move to a Free fuddle and Raffle: assortment of gifts, including vouchers and festive hamper.
