BASW UK Chief Executive to give evidence to UK Parliament

Following on from BASW UK’s submission of evidence to the UK Parliament Joint Committee created to review the Draft Mental Health Bill, we have been invited to give oral evidence.

Dr Ruth Allen, BASW UK’s Chief Executive, will appear in front of the Committee on behalf of BASW on Wednesday 16 November from 1:45pm. The Committee consists of both MPs and Lords who are tasked with reviewing the Draft Mental Health Bill. The Bill seeks to reform the Mental Health Act, and to improve the way that people with learning disability and autistic people are treated in law.
