- Cross-Party Groups (CPGs)
A Senedd Cross-Party Group is a forum where Members of the Senedd (MSs), from at least three different political parties, come together to discuss shared interests in a specific subject relevant to the Senedd (Welsh Parliament). These groups are not formal Senedd bodies and their purpose is to facilitate dialogue between MSs, external organisations, and stakeholders on topics like social care, health, education, or social issues, often involving outside speakers to inform discussions.
You can view the Rules for the operation of Cross-Party Groups online (last updated May 2023).
BASW Cymru is a member of various CPGs, which are listed below, as are the BASW Cymru staff member who attends the meetings. If you are interested in a particular CPG and feel you could contribute to it, please email Wales@basw.co.uk for more information.
