BASW NI letters concerning COVID-19 to social work leaders

BASW NI Chair, Orlaith McGibbon, has written to the Chief Social Work Officer at the Department of Health, the Director of Social Care and Children at the Health and Social Care Board and the Chair of the Association of Executive Directors of Social Work. Orlaith’s letters request details of what advice has been provided to social workers to minimize the possibility of social workers becoming infected with coronavirus and to limit the risk of transmission of the virus from staff who become infected to colleagues or service users.
