Covid 19 Response from Clara Swinson (Director General for Public and Global Health and DHSC)

As the national, professional association for social workers, we are grateful for your feedback and are keen to work with all professions to respond to the pandemic. Social care is at the frontline of our response to COVID-19, with social workers playing a central role in battling the effects of this virus whilst continuing to advocate and care for the most vulnerable in our society, as well as their families and carers. The department is very grateful to social workers and their wider teams, and our Secretary of State has recently issued a letter on 27th April thanking the profession alongside the Secretary of State for Education.
