Are you a social worker who works with children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)?
BASW is working with MPs to share insights into what it is like to practice social work with children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
We plan to give evidence as part of the Government’s Education Committee’s Special educational needs and disabilities inquiry.
We would like to hear your views and comments in order to inform the evidence. You can share views by participating in a BASW led online consultation event planned for the coming weeks.
Please get in touch if you are a front line practitioner, manager, supervisor or student on placement who works for or with local authorities and have experience of working with children or young people with special educational needs or disabilities.
Ideally you will be able to provide current and relevant experiences and anecdotes, areas of strength and areas for improvement.
How to take part
Please contact us by 5pm on 25th January 2019 to express your interest in taking part and for further information.
The consultation event will be held on 31st January 2019 at 12pm.
We will respect those who are interested but wish to remain anonymous.
This is a great opportunity to build your CV and develop your Continuous Professional Development.
