British Journal of Learning Disabilities Call for Papers
The British Journal of Learning Disabilities (under the editorial leadership of Prof. Melanie Nind – University of Southampton) have issued a call for papers on the theme of education as a catalyst for the social inclusion of people with learning disabilities. The guest editors of this special edition are particularly keen to ensure we publish a multidisciplinary special edition which draws from education, health and social care. With the latter in mind we would like to invite you, in the first instance, to send a 300 word abstract for consideration in the journal. Following which invited authors will be asked to submit their full papers.
It’s important to say that BJLD focusses on Learning Disabilities that are severe or profound but strives to hold a capacity model in recognising what people with learning disabilities can do, achieve and contribute. It is also important to say that BJLD have in the same period a second call for papers on the theme of transitions. The executive board decided to put these together so they could share high quality papers between them.
Timing
- 300 word abstract to be submitted by the 31st October 2020.
- Completed article submitted by the 31st January 2021.
