UK Covid-19 Inquiry | Share your views with BASW
The UK Covid-19 Inquiry was established to learn the lessons of the pandemic. It is collecting evidence from across the UK. It is important that the voice of social work and social workers is heard during this process. BASW has Core Participant status for Module 6 of the Inquiry into Adult Social Care. BASW has developed this short survey to inform the views it wishes to share with the Inquiry on issues relating to Adult Social Care.
Complete the Survey on this link.
The survey largely comprises a number of short statements with which you can agree or disagree, as well as an opportunity to share additional comments or experiences of working during the pandemic. These statements represent the key themes derived from an analysis of the documentation produced by BASW during the period March 2020 to July 2022.
Please note that this survey is for those who were working specifically with adults during this time period. BASW also has Core Participant status for Module 8 on Children and Young People and those working with children and families will be invited to contribute in the future.
Please also note that this survey is about professional, rather than personal experiences, of practising or studying social work during this period. For anyone who wishes to share their personal experiences with the Inquiry, you can do so via Every Story Matters.
All responses need to be received by BASW by noon on Friday 29th November.
Any data you provide will not be shared beyond BASW staff who are working on the UK Covid Inquiry. Any examples or experiences we receive are anonymised so that individuals cannot be identified. We will retain the responses to this survey for the duration of Module 6 of the UK Covid-Inquiry.
