Watch: BASW CEO Ruth Allen introduces World Social Work Month 2022
** View the full programme of events and activities **
BASW staff and members have been hard at work planning a diverse and exciting programme of activities for World Social Work Month 2022.
Every year there's a really important reason why we do this; to think about ourselves as a global profession and come together around common themes that drive us.
We, of course, are still living through parts of the pandemic - and that's affecting populations and colleagues around the world, but also in Europe, living now in a time of war. Our thoughts are particularly with the people of Ukraine and with all affected, both in wider Europe and in the UK.
World Social Work Month is an opportunity to think about why our values are so important for peace and social cohesion globally. This year, through BASW, you can access many events, conferences, talks on all sorts of themes. We hope that you will join in, book on to things and find something that inspires you and connects you with your colleagues.
I look forward to celebrating and championing social work, both in the UK and around the world, with fellow social workers throughout the month of March.
Dr. Ruth Allen, BASW UK CEO
