We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Officer in our Advice and Representation Service to join the team.
The BASW Advice & Representation Service provides advice and representation to members through the range of employment and fitness to practise processes.
It is an exciting time to join BASW as we embark on an ambitious programme of transformation across all four UK nations that will reshape how the organisation operates, engages with its members and delivers value — with a clear focus on driving sustainable membership growth and creating an even stronger campaigning voice for social workers.

- Are you a skilled social worker with employment law knowledge who has the confidence and experience to advise and represent members in employment processes?

As the Senior Officer – in addition to the responsibilities you will hold as an Officer, you will also assist the Head of Service, to deliver effective advice and representation in accordance with the terms of reference of the Service and provide expert advice to the team and members on employment law. You will also deputise for the Head of Service when required. You will work with our Policy and Communications team where appropriate to ensure BASW’s campaigns meet the needs of our members and that key information relating to employment or regulatory matters is being adequately communicated both internally and externally.
