2023 SASW Annual Conference
SASW's annual conference took place on 29 November this year with the theme of reclaiming the social in social work.
The conference was well attended, being SASW's biggest online event to-date, with lots of great speakers, including the brilliant Katriona O'Sullivan and the sharp-witted poet Jackie Kay amongst many others. We welcomed an announcement from Angela Constance, Cabinet Secretary for Justice and Home Affairs, during her keynote address, on new funding arrangements for post-graduate social work students.
The afternoon workshops were a roaring success and we thoroughly enjoyed hearing from so many delegates, where topics such as SDS, reflective supervision and supporting young carers, amongst many others were all discussed with passion and enthusiasm.
