Another step in the right direction – Boot Out Austerity takes to London’s streets
Boot Out Austerity (BOA) continues to march on, as BASW Chair Guy Shennan picks up the baton in London ahead of the Additional General Meeting next week.
Shennan is calling all social workers, supporters and concerned citizens in Tower Hamlets, Hackney, Islington & Camden to join and support the BOA cause, “as austerity still needs booting out!”.
He shall don his walking boots at 8.30am to march from Bethnal Green on Tuesday 13th March 2018, arriving at Friends Meeting House on Euston Road ahead of the Social Work Impact! event.
The free half day conference for social workers and social work students begins at 10.30am and will see Shennan discuss BASW’s current priorities, campaigns and manifesto for change in our sector.
Later that day there will be an Additional General Meeting, which has been called to approve and adopt new Articles of Association for BASW.
