APPG for Social Work call for evidence - new models of children's social work
The All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Social Work, co-chaired by David Simmonds MP and Barbara Keeley MP, has launched an inquiry into new models of children’s social work and is inviting interested groups and individuals to submit written evidence.
This inquiry will be considering:
- Models being used by local authorities and organisations
- Opportunities and obstacles to adopting new models
- The impact on outcomes for children
- Role of public and private sector in these models
There will be three oral evidence sessions taking place in July and September 2021.
The evidence collected through this inquiry will contribute towards the formation of a report by the APPG which will be shared with the Department for Education.
Whilst social work is a devolved issue, we welcome responses from across the UK to inform learning on best practice.
Please submit written evidence of no more than 1000 words to Kerri.Prince@basw.co.uk by 28th June 2021.
