BASW England call for evidence - HCPC proposed changes to the Standards of Proficiency for Social Workers in England
The HCPC are seeking views on the proposed changes to the Standards of Proficiency for Social Workers in England. This is an important consultation and will affect all social workers. The HCPC suggest, following an initial review process involving all stakeholders, that the changes necessary are minor but are important to ensure the minimum standards for safe and effective practice by all social workers. The proposals take into consideration the importance of the Professional Capabilities Framework (PCF) and the new role of Knowledge & Skills Statements (KSS) for both child & family and adult social workers. It is essential that social workers feedback their views on these changes.
