BASW & SWU Support Children at the Table Campaign

BASW and SWU have joined with 130 organisations to call on the next UK Government to make good childhoods a national priority.

The campaign is led by the UK’s five largest children’s charities – Action for Children, Barnardo’s, The Children’s Society, the National Children’s Bureau and NSPCC - to make the UK the best place in the world to grow up, with children and young people at the heart of decision-making.

Ahead of this year's UK General Election, it is calling on the next UK Government to work across parliament to:  

  1. Improve the lives of babies, children and young people. 
  2. Put children’s needs and voices at the heart of decision making 
  3. Spend more of the nation’s wealth on babies, children and young people  

BASW and SWU are proud to back this campaign. Every child deserves the best possible start in life, free from poverty and disadvantage. The next government at Westminster must make this an immediate reality.
