Celebrating social workers on World Social Work Day – 16th March 2021

Today we are immensely proud to support and stand together with social workers across the world in global solidarity to mark World Social Work Day. 

As part of this important day, BASW is honoured to launch ‘Amazing Social Workers’ – as a collective celebration of all social workers. 

The theme this year is Ubuntu: I am Because We are – Strengthening Social Solidarity and Global Connectedness.  We feel that the theme also provides an important opportunity to connect together in celebrating self by celebrating you.

Earlier this month we called for nominations of your amazing social workers.  We were overwhelmed by your response and are proud to recognise and share the accomplishments of our colleagues and our profession across the UK. 

We will be profiling amazing social workers every day this month!
