Child & family social workers: employer endorsement workshops June 2016

Social work managers, supervisors and practice leads are invited to attend the workshops on the new employer endorsement process for children and family social workers.

The workshops, which will be held in eight cities across England in June, will introduce the Employer Endorsement guidance and how to implement it. The guidance will support employers to:

• recruit, support, assess and endorse social workers at the end of their ASYE year of practice
• develop a method to assess and endorse those more experienced social workers and social work supervisors.

Employer endorsement is the first element of the new accreditation framework.

The implementation workshops will be held from10.30 am -3.30 pm and will include lunch.
