Child Sexual Exploitation: Prevention, Protection and Prosecution
BASPCAN and NIASW wish to invite you to join them at a one day conference on ‘Child Sexual Exploitation’ on Wednesday 23rd October at The Templeton Hotel, Templepatrick.
The conference is supported by the Public Health Agency, the Safeguarding Board for Northern Ireland and the Northern Ireland Social Care Council, and brings together a range of inter-disciplinary experts in this field to explore the vital intersecting themes of ‘Prevention, Protection and Prosecution’.
With increasing attention on this issue following a number of high profile cases in Rochdale, Derby and Oxford, this conference offers a unique opportunity to increase your understanding of the issue and to explore how we might better respond to it in Northern Ireland. This is particularly pertinent at this time, given the forthcoming focus on this area of work by the newly established Safeguarding Board for Northern Ireland.
The cost is £85 with a reduced fee of £70 for BASPCAN/NIASW members. A limited number of funded places are available for HSC staff and member agencies of the SBNI – please contact a.beattie@basw.co.uk or view event for further information.
