David N Jones elected Chair of International Committee

David N Jones is therefore duly elected as the Chair of the International Committee from 13 September 2017

"I’m delighted to be elected Chair of the International Committee and develop its new role within the BASW structures. It is exciting to see BASW growing and I fully support the 2020 Vision," said Jones.

"In a volatile world - socially, economically and politically - we must build on the growing impact of social work on the United Nations, European Union and world community and ensure that international social work influences a post-Brexit UK. 

"Embracing a strong global identity is core to strengthening the national profession, and I’m happy to play an even more active role to steer the association in this direction."
