Do you know a social worker who has left the profession?
Are you or a colleague considering leaving social work? Do you know someone who already has?
We are looking for social workers who have left or are considering leaving the profession because of working conditions, burnout or unmanageable case loads to share their stories with us. This could involve a career change or deciding to take early retirement and you could work in any area of practice.
We are lobbying to set up a cross party group on social work at the Scottish Parliament, to discuss these issues with stakeholders across the sector and influence change. Having your stories will help to make a stronger case for this and could help current practitioners, service users, and those looking to join the profession in the future.
If you would like to share your experiences, please contact our Communications & Policy Officer, Emily, and find out more about that this will involve.
