Help to shape social work in the future – and gain valuable CPD hours.
We are looking for social workers who work with children and families to take part in a research study on the introduction and role of AI in social work.
BASW, together with the University of Sheffield, is collaborating on a research project which will bring together service users, AI developers and social workers to help co-produce policy and research responses on the use of AI in social work and social care, with a particular focus on the practical priorities in the sector. You can get involved by participating in three co-production workshops.
We are looking for four individuals to participate in at least the first two of three workshops. The workshops will discuss issues arising from the introduction of AI into social work and social care from a range of perspectives. Discussions from the first two workshops will be used to inform policy recommendations and guidance on AI – the draft recommendations will be considered in a third workshop.
The workshops will take place on Friday 10 Sept 11:00-13:00 (first workshop) and Monday 13th September 11:00-13:00 (second workshop).
Participating in the workshops will provide an opportunity to reflect on practice and BASW will provide a CPD certificate to evidence this.
The third workshop to feedback on recommendations will take place in the week commencing 27th September.
I’m interested - what do I do next?
