National co-production week
Co-production week takes place 6-10 July 2020 and is all about working in equal partnership with people who use services
To mark this important week we are sharing co-produced resources which help to implement the capabilities statements and continuous professional development (CPD) frameworks published by BASW, and commissioned by the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC).
The capabilities statements show social workers what they need to know and be able to do, to make positive changes in the lives of people with lived experience. Use the new critical friend ‘hair tool’ to check social workers' knowledge & skills in working with adults with learning disability. It was developed by people with learning disability.
A new feedback tool also available in Autism friendly easy read, developed in partnership with opening Minds designed for autistic adults to provide feedback about their experience of social work using the Capabilities Statement.
