New Government inquiry calls for evidence
Social workers urged to take survey into local authorities’ children’s services
The Housing, Communities and Local Government Committee have launched an inquiry into local authority children's services and want to hear from professionals within the sector.
Headlined, ‘What are the financial challenges for local authorities’ children’s services?’ the inquiry includes a survey that is available here for children’s social workers to complete. It closes on 1st March.
We are urging members to take the survey to get their views across to policymakers. We will also be providing oral evidence as the professional association for social work and social workers.
This inquiry has materialised in part due to sustained lobbying from BASW, the Local Government Association, local authorities and children’s organisations and charities.
